We are obsessed with
the right hire.
A company is only as good as its people. So we made it our mission to bring the right ones together, because when a person and a company truly fit, everything changes.
All these founders, struggling.
All this talent, waiting.
We kept meeting the same person: a founder or small business in the US, completely overwhelmed — doing every job themselves, growing too slow for lack of hands, burned once already by a bad marketplace hire, sometimes going into debt just to build a team.
And just south — same continent, same time zones, same working day: Latin America. A whole continent of possibility. We met them by the hundreds — amazing, talented men and women with excellent English, waiting right where they live for the one thing missing: an opportunity to do great work and grow.
So much talent on one side, so many overwhelmed businesses on the other, and no one in the middle whose whole job was bringing the right two together. So that's what we built — a rigorous method for pairing amazing people with amazing companies, vetted and matched so both sides can get to work and build something great.
Building a great team shouldn't be painful. We're obsessed with making it amazing for both sides — creating Mate & Work.
One hemisphere, not two.
Same hours, close cultures, one shared way of working — the two sides were always closer than the map looks. What was missing wasn't distance. It was a bridge you could trust. So we built one.
A US company that lives where both worlds meet.
Miami is the one city that's genuinely both. Walk a block in Brickell and you'll hear a deal closed in English and finished in Spanish — sometimes the same sentence. A US city that runs on Latin American energy. The bridge isn't something we built — it's where we already were.
From here, we saw something up close: how naturally Latin American professionals fit with US companies — the same hours, a shared culture, the way they slotted into a team and delivered like they'd always been part of it. The fit was real, and it was everywhere.
So we thought: why stop at a few? If we connected more of this talent with more US businesses, we could make a lot of people succeed — and a lot of people happy — on both sides. That's the whole reason we grew.
Led by women, run with a different kind of care.
Mate&Work is woman-led — and like the company itself, the women who run our matching live on both sides of the bridge: American, with South American roots. They don't just understand both worlds; they are both worlds. On a team built around fit, that's everything.
There's a woman's touch in how we run a remote team, and it rests on three pillars: care, putting the person before the task; clarity, so no one is ever left guessing; and trust, because we hire adults and lead them like it.
And it reaches beyond our own team. We're part of a strong network of women across South Florida and the US — founders, leaders, and operators who lift each other up. When we connect talent with business, we're plugging people into that same energy: supported, backed, and set up to grow.
One wrong hire can sink the whole thing.
One bad hire is never just one bad hire. Someone tricky, someone with the wrong energy — it drains hours you don't have, poisons the mood of a whole team, and spreads like a bad apple until good people start checking out too. For a small business, that's not a setback. It's a threat to everything you've built.
And even a great hire isn't forever. People change. People get bored. People disappear. The reality nobody plans for is that the person who was perfect in month one can be gone by month six — and you're back to square one, mid-project, alone.
We learned this the hard way, in our own team — every bad hire, every disappearance. It's exactly why we refuse to let our clients live it too. So we carry it: the vetting that keeps the wrong people out, and the guarantee that keeps you covered when someone moves on — we replace them, fast, no drama, no extra charge. In remote work, that safety net isn't a nice-to-have. It's the whole point.
The right hire can change a whole company and a life at once.
That's the part most people miss: a match is never a line item, it's a turning point. For a business, it's the person who lifts the weight and unlocks what comes next. For the talent, it's the door that changes their life. One match, and two futures open at the same time.
That's why we care so much about fairness. The best matches last because both sides win — when the talent earns a living they're proud of and the business gets someone who truly fits, nobody's looking for the exit. A relationship built to be fair is a relationship built to last.
And we'd rather tell you the true thing than the easy one. No inflated promises, no hiding the catch — just honest matches between real people. It's how we'd want to be treated, so it's how we work.
Questions, answered.
The story behind our name.
In South America, mate is the drink you share — passed hand to hand around a table, the reason people sit down together.
But mate means something else too: your partner, your teammate, the one who's in it with you. Both meanings are the point.
Mate & Work — the belief that great work needs that same energy. Real partnership. Good vibes. Two sides who genuinely enjoy what they build together. Because today, that's what makes a company truly work.
